    Christians live an embattled existence in this world. Under assault from the crafty devil, the deceitful world and our own ever-present sinful nature, how are we to live as disciples of Jesus Christ? We most often think of the Small Catechism as a manual for Christian doctrine and it is that, but it is more. Luther envisioned the Small Catechism as a handbook for the Christian disciple lived by faith in Christ and in our various callings through love to the neighbor. This lecture will unpack this remarkable feature of Luther's Small Catechism.
